Tasmanian Timber Masterclass
A series of Tasmanian Timber masterclasses, hosted by Gregory Nolan, a registered Architect and Director of the University of Tasmania’s Centre for Sustainable Architecture with Wood, are now available online.
Created for architects, designers, builders and joiners, these masterclasses provide information on Tasmanian timber species, their supply, characteristics and product range. As a local medium, Tasmanian timber is ideal for inspired interior and architectural design.
There are two masterclass sessions available:
Session 1 – Tasmanian Timber for Internal Applications:
This masterclass is designed for architects, interior designers and those specifying timber. It covers the range of Tasmanian timber species available and their source of supply, major characteristics and product range. This session also discusses essential detailing and specification practice for major architectural applications.
Session 2 – Working with Tasmanian Timber:
This masterclass is designed for builders, joiners and those working with timber. It covers the range of Tasmanian timber species available and their source of supply, major characteristics and product range. This session also discusses essential aspects of timber storage and handling practice for preparing and assembling major architectural and timber-rich components.
